LFI designed the sectional where both adults and kids are welcomed and to feel comfortable. The sofa wrapped and skirted in a soft green chinelle floats in the space. Particular attention was paid to the back. One sees detailed pleating with vintage bakelite buttons placed on pleats. The buttons are also used on the stationary paneled drapery in the room. Built -in cabinetry with zinc covered surfaces continue to give this room and home a very Country French atmosphere. Celadon greens, harvest yellows and golds, creams and rusty reds are used in the wallcovering, fabrics, and border of the area rug and accessories.

Living Room as Game Room

LFI maintained a tradtional look to this space, but, not as a traditionally planned living room. The space is used as a Gaming Room. A traditional billiard table was placed at one end of the room where heavy light green velvet drapery detailed with tasseling instantly give a very "clubby" mood. The coffee table in front of the original marble fireplace doubles as a game table- it has a leather surface surrounded by four leather rolling square seats. Accessories on the table are all related to games - including a chess board created by an a midwest artist. A British Colonial marble top table is used as another card playing table. In the room is a large mahagony doll house that doubles as a bar. Antiques, artwork used in the room are related to games.

This living room was turned into a game room. Everything in the room is focused on playing games. The coffee table even has storage seats that slide in and out from the table. There are antique games and even a game board of checkers by an artist that has a special place on the leather top coffee table.

Light cream & green textured wallcovering used throughout kitchen for a practical use as well as giving a soft texture to the space. Hand scraped wide planked flooring gives an "old world" feel to the kitchen. The island is fully equipped for the owner/baker. Hand painted stools surround the island for on lookers and or test licking helpers. A pot rack chandelier above the island holds a collection of antique French and Dutch copper cooking utensils. Cooking is constantly going on in this most spacious kitchen.
